CLT20 Venues have been named

The Champions League governing Council has named the venues for Champions League 2010 whcih will be held from 10 -26th of September.The Wanderers stadium in Johannersburg,St.George's Park in Port Elizabeth,Kingsmead in Durban and Centurion Park in Centurion have been selected as the venues.Already 9 teams have been selected and one from West Indies has yet to be selected.

Raina ton helps India to win T20I series

India beat Zimbabwe by 7 wickets in the second T20I between two countries.With that victory India won the series as 2-0.Indian captain Suresh Raina's half century makes their victory more easy.The scores were as follows;

Zimbabwe 140-5 (Taibu 45*,Dinda 2-15) (20 overs)
India 144-3 (Raina 72*,Vijay 46) (18 overs)

India completes an easy win

India recorded their first win of the tour against Zimbabwe by winning the first T20I by 6 wickets.Scores were as follows;

Zimbabwe 111-9 (20 overs) (Chibhabha 40,Vinay Kumar 3-24,Ojha 2-11)
India 115-4 (Y Pathan 37*,Price 2-24)

Sri Lanka plans T20 league with foreign players

Sri Lankan Cricket Board's newly appointed chief selector Mr.Aravinda Desilva said that there is a plan of participating foreign players in the inter provincial T20 tournament.The move is to grt more foreign sponsorships and attrarction to the tournament.He further explained that the spectators are able to see some exciting cricket and this will be a good step for Sri Lankan cricket.He also showed how IPL has become popular among the spectators.The tournament consists 6 teams and Wayamba emerged as winners for the second consecutive time.

CLT20 to be held in South Africa

This years Champions League will be held in South Africa with the participation of 12 teams.Three teams from India,two teams from Australia,England and South Africa and one each from Sri Lanka,New Zealand,West Indies will take part in this tournament.Already 10 teams have been selected and only two teams from England to be selected since their domestic tournament is currently underway.This will be third Champions League and last year's champions were New South Wales.

India meet Zimbabwe In T20Is

After the Micromax cup,India will be playing two T20Is against Zimbabwe.This will be the first time that the two teams meet each other in T20Is.Like in ODIs Elton Chigumbura will lead Zimbabwe while Suresh Raina will lead India.The first T20I will be on 12th of June at Harare while the second will be on 13th at the same venue.
